The Witching Hour

In Keybashing on April 30, 2009 at 4:13 am

Midnight arrives with the cranking of the AC unit telling me to go to bed!

One hell of a day with trying to turn my initial thoughts on marriage into something productive – this is what I call a “challenge” or maybe “moral dilemma” is more appropriate?

Initial thought on marriage – “Don’t!”

Total pay and Word rate = 25 cents (kerrching!)

Requested words on marriage – 1,200

Total pay = $400.

Dilemma?  What dilemma?

I like eating the same as you so quit looking aghast at my capitalist urge not to socially starve – remember, hunger affects 1 in 8 Americans and I have no desire to be that 1!

This aside, my day has been productively spent spamming potential providers with work requests, story ideas, pleas for work and some of this grovelling has now paid off and my fingers can get 7 hours sleep.

Keybasher may live to eat another day perchance to dream of enjoying a diet more in keeping with his station than mere Kraft Mac’ & Cheese :)

Who am I kidding – it will be dried bread and water as usual!

Shorten the Fingernails!

In Keybashing on April 14, 2009 at 1:50 pm

Yesterday I had a marathon session with the keyboard as I found my flow and rhythm, so this morning as I start the day I have slightly sore fingertips and cuticles.

I keep myself up to date with hints and tips for producing work as much as any other, perhaps more so because at heart I am something of a nerd, some claim I’m a goober but after looking up what that was I hardly would describe myself as peanut!

Keybashing is therapeutic for me and many others but while you personally should find your level and working environment to maximise your work production and quality, I have found the most important attribute to be short, trimmed fingernails :)

Hardly ever likely to make it into the top 100 tipster articles I see at eZine or similar!

Keybashing

In Keybashing on April 13, 2009 at 11:23 pm

Several years ago I was struggling with a purpose and direction in life – almost 40, money in the bank, a middle-aged spread and a mortgage, that is until a curved ball from hell was directed my way :(

As needs must, I turned to freelance writing not from a desire to become a Hemingway but to be less hungry.

Far from becoming Hemingway still, I have succeeded at becoming less hungry and have even managed to pile on a few pounds which I try to take off at the gym; by this measure of success, I have succeeded.

:) That’s one for me :)

Now where this goes I have no idea but a smirk or befuddled scratching of the head will hopefully result – Happy Keybashing :)
